September – Harvest Time

September’s always been synonymous with harvest time, and at Healthy Abode that means with the wedding season beginning to draw to a close, we’re beginning to see a slight reduction in property inspection reports from our peak June, July & August months. Though, in our other business area, a slow but sure increase in enquiries for independent damp, timber and mould surveys; with Autumn rains looming! September’s also our year end and therefore, its a time where we take stock, consider clients and reflect on our business core areas. At Healthy Abode, we are going into our 7th year of trading, how time flies!

With the property market emerging in better health and continual independent damp, timber and mould survey’s undertaken throughout the Summer, we know we’re in for a busy winter! Consequently, we’re on the hunt for a new independent damp surveyor to come and work with us. So if you’re reading this and have the skills and experience, please get in contact.

A service we offer, which many builders, property developers, architect, construction managers and self builds are not aware of is our building conversion warranty provider surveys. These are tailored to meet the individual requests of warranty provider’s such as NHBC, premierguarantee, build-zone, LABC etc, who often require that such things as the DPC, DPM, pointing, structural timbers or weather tightness of a building are surveyed by a PCA approved CSRT surveyor. Our surveyor regularly undertakes damp warranty provider surveys for buildings being converted from redundant offices, warehouses and care homes into new flat and apartments.

With regards to acoustics’ September has seen Healthy Abode’s acoustician busy in London undertaking BS4142 assessments for residential air condensing units and commercial mechanical extraction fans.
