Want to know more about our independent damp timber and mould surveys, property inspection report or acoustic assessments? Then read on...... to find out what Healthy Abode have been up to this October.

How did you celebrate your Halloween? We’ve been out damp surveying in North London, South London, East London and West London!!! As well as Essex and Hertfordshire towns including Great Dunmow, Chelmsford, Braintree, Watford, Enfield and St Albans, ensuring clients didn't get a fright of unexpected works! We’ve seen the ghoulish sights of damp rising from the ground, mould spores covering walls, high condensation to sub-floors and lack of insulation and airflow to roof eaves as well as dry rot to floor joists, skirting boards and floorboards.

If you’re a regular reader of our blog, you’ll know that we try to throw in a bit of humour, though we're under no illusions, we couldn't earn a crust doing standup!

The summer months saw our CSRT surveyors (registered with the PCA) undertaking lots of independent damp, timber and mould surveys for people purchasing homes, with independent damp surveys required by their mortgage providers. However, with Autumn here and the resultant wet weather, our surveyors been engaged to survey a lot of owner-occupied and rented premises, providing advice to homeowners, landlords, tenants and managing agents. All of our reports are comprehensive, fully detail findings, photographs of defects and recommended remedial treatments.

As well as damp, we offer other environmental surveys, including acoustic assessments. We've had our acousticians out undertaking environmental noise impact assessments. We’re competitive on price and our experience as former Council EHO’s enables us to put comprehensive acoustic reports together to meet local authority planning requirements.

In the office, our team has been busy growing our online presence, if you’ve struggled to find us, then please let us know in an email. We’re always here to help, give impartial professional advice and arrange surveys for damp, acoustics or property inspections. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
